EU literacy through lessons of Greece’s secondary vocational education curriculum.
EU teaching is implemented through the lessons of Greek language, Political education and Creative Activity zone.
The above courses provide an initial solid foundation to start students’ European literacy in secondary education. They offer great opportunities for differentiated teaching, but also for innovative actions. Creative Activity zone in particular is a predominantly student-centered subject, even from its design and introduction to the timetable, which can incorporate a variety of activities both in-school and out-of-school.
Students’ literacy includes themes like historic milestones in the creation of a united Europe, institutions and the euro currency. European identity and its fundamental values, rights of its citizens and the European way of life. EU’s Green Agreement and Green Growth, Europe in the Digital Age and AI. Europe at the service of the people etc. Totally of 240 educational in classroom hours in a 3 year schedule.

Program’s target value is the creation of a responsible young citizen, fully informed about his European identity, aware of the democratic fundamental European values and the European way of life.

Sivitanidios Public School of Arts and Crafts, the largest educational institute for vocational training in Greece. A team of teachers from 3rd EPAL (Vocational Lyceum) of Sivitanidios are responsible for running the program.
